About Midstream Ridge Primary School

How fitting is it that Midstream Ridge Primary School chose the quote, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, from the late Nelson Mandela, as its slogan in its initial documentation. And, Midstream Ridge Primary has certainly had an impact on Midstream Estate!

Amidst great excitement, the striking, newly built school opened its doors on the 15th January 2014 to 313 learners, 26 staff members and two secretaries.

Our wildest dreams were surpassed with the outstanding facilities that were immediately made available to us. The specific layout of the Foundation Phase and Intersen Phase blocks will contribute to a feeling of unity amongst us. We look forward to the completion of the outstanding facilities which will soon be a reality too.

The official opening of the school, provisionally on the 8th August 2014, will coincide with the completion of our “state of the art” school hall. This historical occasion promises to be a momentous and unforgettable event.

At present, Midstream Ridge Primary is able to offer a comprehensive extra-mural programme with the co-operation and assistance of Midstream College Primary. This is supported by a well organised, daily bus service for all our learners.

The After School Centre has been up and running since day one and is providing a much needed service to many of our parents.

Our music department is expanding rapidly and offers a wide variety of music lessons.

New, young and enthusiastic staff members who have started teaching with more experienced staff members, along with the smaller class sizes, are a definite advantage in the overall success of effective education.
